This first album was recorded (acoustic parts : voice, guitars, drums and percussions) and mixed and mastered in lyon at pwl studios during spring 2011. Tracks were composed at home between april and october 2009 mostly on an electronic setup : emu e4 sampler, roland spv355, moog voyager, korg CS15, korg 707, ensoniq ts10, stompboxes and an old ibanez bass.
It was composed during a rather gloomy period (a jobless period...) but fueled by great human encounters and collaborations.

All begun with a joke and a friend's challenge as silly as this : create one track per day ! it shall be in the box at the end of the day or you put it in the trash !
Even though I couldn't manage to work on a song everyday, I worked hard and this led to a great amount of tunes (around 40). Above it all, this discipline was a successful method for skills progression... when I listen to my first demos of april 2009 compared with the last ones done in october same year there is a huge difference...

With the help of christophe and bertrand we selected few tracks and decided to replace or add some parts with real instruments : guitars and drums. Some tracks were kept untouched with an electronic instrumentations only (press23, babylonians, 454545).
Thanks to the analog mixing at pwl studios (old altec, gates and dbx compressors, siemens mixing desk!) this brought an hybrid mood to this album.

Then back to a new job, I didn't had the possibility to promote this album despite we pressed 300 vinyl copies... Thus this is old new stock falks ! This first album was a great experience and fun to make and I think the result is something that will resist to aging rather well!

The album was rated in the "top of the dope" list of 2012 of music blog "heavy mental".
Here is an extract in French : "Voilà un disque qui devrait donc réjouir les accros aux tourneries entêtantes et réfrigérées héritées des années 80 ainsi que les amateurs des relectures 90's de tout le truc, plus électro/trip-hop, mais avec Gallion on atteint rapidement et durablement le niveau supérieur - si certains titres se détachent résolument des autres pour s'enraciner dans nos têtes comme autant de tubes signifiants et porteurs de songes animés, tout le disque se révèle incroyablement bon et définitivement accrocheur. Et on ne reviendra pas sur le chant, un chant à la fois aigu et vaporeux, qui confère à la musique de Gallion cette incarnation fantomatique qui plait tellement."
